The Lumina works in two ways: First, it splits incoming sounds into four channels. The Lumina circuit then automatically adjusts each of the four channels independently to a volume level you prefer. This level of fine-tuning helps you hear soft sounds like a child's voice or a friend's whisper without having loud sounds become too loud and uncomfortable. 

The Lumina also features advanced Speech Pattern Detection and the Silencer System which helps this circuit more precisely distinguish between speech sounds and non-speech sounds. These two systems combine to make this our cleanest sounding instrument ever.

Beltone's Polara two-channel digital circuit combines a precise fit, based on the results of our SelectaFit fitting program, with the ability to adapt for your hearing comfort as you move from one listening environment to another. 

Most hearing aid wearers have a hard time hearing soft sounds, yet hear loud sounds just fine. The problem is, ordinary hearing aids provide one preset increase in volume. They amplify all sounds the same. This often makes loud sounds too loud. 

The Polara circuit solves this problem and helps you hear better in two ways: First, it splits incoming sounds into two channels. Here, the Polara processes loud and soft sounds differently. It then automatically adjusts both channels independently to a volume you prefer. This helps you get the amplification you need to hear soft sounds, like a child's voice, without having loud sounds become too loud and uncomfortable.
